Vicious Pop

I gotta be real for a minute with you people: from now on this blog is prob just gonna be me gushing about the latest record on Mixpak, Dre Skull's new label. This time it's "I Want You", Dre's characteristically futuristic take on synth-pop and as usual the 12" is packed with stellar remixes of the glorious title track. The one that stands above the rest, though, is Dre Skull's own remix, a towering minimalist house banger with a Chicago vibe that's the latest thing to get me losing my mind. PS. I wish the weather in Wisconsin listened to (Vicious) pop music. Between this and the new R. Kelly mixtape, summer is obviously here NOW. So why is it still cold and raining? :(
