HEY! ITZ POST # ONE HUNDO!
Dre Skull recently (mad recent, like yesterday recent) dropped this video for his excellent futuristic synth pop track "I Want You". It was made by Pomp&Clout, the creative force behind that last (super dope) Boys Noize vid "Jeffer". This one's a candy-flipped Vegas-goes-Tron CGI romp that goes down as a treat for your eyeballs:
I swear, you won't have to wait TOO much longer for the full track, in all it's glory, to crash your internet party, but until then check out this crucial vid of Juiceboxxx live in Kiev, Ukraine last year playing a super early version of his upcoming single with Dre Skull, "HYPE":

Starting getting EXTREMELY HYPED, IMMEDIATELY because on October 6, 2009 Juiceboxxx and Dre Skull drop their brand new single and the last of their futuristic disco 12" trilogy! "Hype" has been a long time coming and features remixes by Sinden and Dre Skull as well as an exclusive digital-only remix from Udachi. The cover art is classic Juice & Dre, all bloody cyborgs and outer space, which is a pretty good indication of the sound of this new monster track. Keep your eye balls peeled for track's debut, who knows where it will pop up first...
While we're on the subject of da Juiceboy, I've been meaning to do a post for a while now about his new 12" single on IHEARTCOMIX, "100 MPH". Recorded with legends-in-the-house-game Joe Smooth and Craig Loftis? Check. Timeless lyrics about speed, parties and life? Check. The return of wailmeister general Willy Dintenfass ripping a totally insane axe solo? Check. Bongos? Check. Piano vamps? Check. Addictive music video by up-and-coming comic genius and Awesome Show contributor DJ Douggpound? Check. (That one will drop any day now, check back and I'll post it asap. EDIT: IT DROPPED!) Killer remixes by Trouble & Bass's AC Slater, IHEARTCOMIX label mate Ocelot and DFA-based Free Blood? Check, check and CHECK. Yup, it's all there, this one's officially a full-blown RAGER. Head over to IHEARTCOMIX.COM to pick it up.
Also, head over to Lucky Me and pick up Juice's "Heartland Sunset Bass Mix", a pause-tape style mix that is totally killer.

I gotta be real for a minute with you people: from now on this blog is prob just gonna be me gushing about the latest record on Mixpak, Dre Skull's new label. This time it's "I Want You", Dre's characteristically futuristic take on synth-pop and as usual the 12" is packed with stellar remixes of the glorious title track. The one that stands above the rest, though, is Dre Skull's own remix, a towering minimalist house banger with a Chicago vibe that's the latest thing to get me losing my mind. Check it out @ the MIXPAK MYSPACE. LET THE JUKE TOMS CRUSH UR SKULL!!!
"Feel the music/You gotta use it/A lot of people/They don't know what to do with it"
This track has SUMMER written all over it.
PS. I wish the weather in Wisconsin listened to (Vicious) pop music. Between this and the new R. Kelly mixtape, summer is obviously here NOW. So why is it still cold and raining? :(
