Awwwwww shiiiit. You know you've been dreaming on this for, like, ever. Juiceboxxx has finally gone and done it: introducing THUNDER ZONE ENT, not just a record label but an innovative new entertainment company from the mind of Juiceboy. The debut release is a 7" by G-Side, the Huntsville rap duo's first ever vinyl release, which features a remix by Javelin on the b-side (available for download @ PITCHFORK). Future releases include a Thunder Zone energy drink and other unique releases that are still under wraps. I'd highly recommend bookmarking the TZ site and keep your eyeballs peeled and your fingertips perched over the refresh button for the next year or so. It'll be worth it, trust.

TWO HUGE RELEASES THAT ARE OFFICIALLY OUT NOW:

On the eve of his upcoming tour of Asia, Juiceboxxx drops the brand new ten track mixtape, Journeyman From The Heartland. Just go to JUICEBOXXX.COM and download it 4 free. Features production by L-VIS 1990, Andy Petr, Schwarz and a bunch of others. Really fucking solid from front to back. More like an album than a mixtape, really. He's got tour dates on his blog!

And WTF, USAISAMONSTER has a new LP? Didn't know that this was actually coming out, but I'm so psyched that it has. The vinyl's out on November 9 (on a new label based in Brooklyn called Northern Spy), but in the meantime you can buy the digital HERE. Like NOW. Go get it!

So, been posting about Bounce, Sissy Bounce, and Big Freedia for a while. Love it, love it, love it. Well, Big Freedia's finally coming to tear Milwaukee a new one, and the show doubles as Juiceboxxx's last MKE show for a while as well as the kickoff for his tour of Japan and Asia. If you miss this shit, I don't even know what to say to you.

Go to the facebook event page!

Also, I know this sounds like a contradiction but Carson Daily recently did a really great feature on Bounce and Freedia in particular. Watch it:

EDIT: IT HAPPENED, CHECK THIS ISH OUT!!! :

The mighty, mighty EXTREME ANIMALS are here to tear up the MKE for a couple of days. Tonight they play Cactus Club with Juiceboxxx (freshly back from his marathon two month THUNDERZONE tour of the U.S.A.), Squidbotz and Stacian.

Then On Tuesday (info ripped from the UWM Theatre site):

Jacob Ciocci + David Wightman present
“2 Blessed 2 B Stressed”
(approx. 60 mins)

"Jacob Ciocci, a founding member of the renowned art collective Paper Rad, and collaborator David Wightman will be presenting an evening of raucous videos and musical mayhem. In addition to presenting recent videos and animations, including Booty Melt and The Peace Tape, Ciocci will perform his latest I Let My Nightmares Go, which uses video projection and live dance moves to “grapple with mental demons, web 2.0, G.O.D., 21st-century breakdown, real lies and fake truths, cartoon violence, and awareness bracelets”. Wightman will appear as “Fortress of Amplitude”- a guitar-wielding minstrel from another time and place. Accompanied by a drum machine, he will execute a musical composition focused on fantasy, repetition, and ecstasy."

Sounds pretty sick, right?

JUICEBOXXX is 7 weeks deep into the THUNDERZONE tour. That means his twitter's been real good lately.

Catch up on the tour tweets and hit up his myspace to see the rest of the THUNDERZONE tour dates.

It's turning into a great week for free mixtapes. Besides the aforementioned new Juiceboxxx "Thunder Zone" mix, Cocaine Blunts just released the second volume of their excellent "Bounce For Relief" series and UGK legend Bun B released the highly anticipated "No Mixtape" in it's entirety via Mixtape Wire & Keep It Trill, in preparation for his upcoming official LP Trill OG. Yum.
